In the carpet cleaning industry, there are 4 elements to cleaning of which the general public is
probably not aware. It is called TACT; these 4 letters translate into:
1.TIME- Allowing the cleaning agent time to work.
2. AGITATION- or friction to dislodge soil and dirt.
3. CHEMICAL-The precise and appropriate cleaning agent depending on fiber content.
4.TEMPERATURE- The correct amount based on fiber content.
The truth is I can reduce any one of these elements add
another and the results will virtually be the same. For instance,
I can use less temperature and use more agitation or vice versa.
For the purpose of carpet and upholstery cleaning, suction power or extraction ability
should be added to "THE ART OF CLEANING"
After the shampooing of the carpet, extraction is the final step; here again there is a balance between to much and to little suction. To little and not enough embedded soil is
removed,to much and a lock is created on the carpet inhibiting air flow thru the fibers which will interrupt the cleaning effectiveness and add more drying time.
.
My use of a glider wand prevents this from happening.
All this being said.in the final analysis it's the man behind the
cleaning wand doing the shampooing and extracting of your carpets and couch's
that is just as important as the other 5 elements in "THE ART OF CLEANING".
